FAQs
Is there a limit to the number of appointments I can schedule?

There are no limits! You can schedule as many appointments as you feel are required. You may schedule your visits in-person, via HIPAA-Compliant ZOOM.

Do you offer virtual visits?

Yes, through our patient portal you can schedule an appointment for a secure Zoom (online video) visit.

Will I need to pay copays or deductibles?

Direct Primary care is not insurance. There are no copays or deductibles and we don’t accept or bill your insurance company.

Do I have access to special pricing on things like X-rays, MRIs, bloodwork, etc?

You can choose to use your private insurance to pay for services outside the scope of your membership, such as labs and imaging, and medications. However, if you decide to pay out-of-pocket for these services, they will be offered to you at our discounted rate.

If I need a specialist, can you refer me?

Yes, we will refer you when needed, and help coordinate care with your specialists and hospitalists.

Who is a good candidate for direct primary care?

DPC is the perfect option for;

  • anyone 18 years of age or older
  • those without health insurance but still need consistent, quality care
  • anyone tired of the same healthcare experiences and is looking for a better doctor/patient relationship
  • preventative care to stay healthy
  • treatment of any acute medical condition (not life-threatening/non-emergent)
  • treatment of any chronic medical condition (non-surgical, non-obstetrics)
Is direct primary care a form of insurance?

No. It is a monthly membership-based primary care. It’s recommended that you obtain health insurance to cover specialty care, major medical coverage, hospitalizations, ER visits, etc.

How are you able to spend extended time with your patients?

When billing insurance, everything about the doctor-patient care is managed, such as visit time, course of treatment, and even the number of concerns that doctors can address during a visit. It also has a higher overhead cost for the practice that needs to hire staff to handle insurance billing. This forces the physician to accept more patients and fit more visits into their schedule to fill the gap.

Remove the health insurance restrictions, and you’ll have the freedom to give better care and spend more time with your patient.

As a DPC physician, my initial visits with patients can be up to 60-90 minutes long, and each follow-up visit can be up to 45 minutes if needed, so the health concerns of my patients are addressed in a comprehensive way without needing to put them off to a future visit. Moreover, there are unlimited visits for the membership fee.
