Direct Primary Care Doctor

DIRECT PRIMARY CARE IN PFLUGERVILLE, TX
So, what makes direct primary care so great?
Today’s typical healthcare experience is mostly cold and sterile, with long wait times and shorter visit times, and that’s after waiting 2 weeks to get an appointment! Often patients see many different doctors or are shuffled off to specialists. Because of this, we’ve seen a rise in conflicting diagnoses, prescriptions and often, poor health outcomes.
Direct care returns us to the medical practice of the past, back when your family doctor knew you, understood you and helped manage any medical challenges. They were available when you needed them. You could call them on the phone and they would answer.
That’s direct primary care.

Who is a good candidate for direct primary care?
DPC is the perfect option for;
- anyone 18 years of age or older
- those without health insurance but still need consistent, quality care
- anyone tired of the same healthcare experiences and is looking for a better doctor/patient relationship
- preventative care to stay healthy
- treatment of any acute medical condition (not life-threatening/non-emergent)
- treatment of any chronic medical condition (non-surgical, non-obstetrics)
Is direct primary care a form of insurance?
No. It is a monthly membership-based primary care. It’s recommended that you obtain health insurance to cover specialty care, major medical coverage, hospitalizations, ER visits, etc.
How are you able to spend extended time with your patients?
When billing insurance, everything about the doctor-patient care is managed, such as visit time, course of treatment, and even the number of concerns that doctors can address during a visit. It also has a higher overhead cost for the practice that needs to hire staff to handle insurance billing. This forces the physician to accept more patients and fit more visits into their schedule to fill the gap.
Remove the health insurance restrictions, and you’ll have the freedom to give better care and spend more time with your patient.
As a DPC physician, my initial visits with patients can be up to 60-90 minutes long, and each follow-up visit can be up to 45 minutes if needed, so the health concerns of my patients are addressed in a comprehensive way without needing to put them off to a future visit. Moreover, there are unlimited visits for the membership fee.
NOTE: We are in-network with BCBS, Aetna, as well as traditional Medicare. We will bill these insurances in these cases and you will only be charged by our office for services not covered by your insurance plan, such as Seca scan.
